In many parts of Nigeria, students struggle to learn in overheated, poorly lit classrooms. Frequent power outages interrupt lessons. Teachers are forced to teach in near darkness. Fans don’t work. Learning suffers.
But there's a simple, sustainable solution: solar energy.
The BeCool and Brighten Nigerian Schools campaign is a movement to equip public schools across Nigeria with solar-powered electricity, ensuring that students can learn in cooler, brighter, and more stable environments — all year round.
🛑 Lack of Power = Poor Learning Conditions
Many schools in rural and urban communities have no access to electricity or rely on unreliable, expensive generators.
🌡️ Heat Affects Learning
Classrooms with no fans can reach extreme temperatures, leaving students too uncomfortable to focus.
🔌 Education Needs Energy
Light for evening study, power for digital tools, fans for comfort — all rely on consistent electricity.
Solar energy is the key. It’s clean, renewable, and perfect for Nigeria’s sunny climate.
We're working to install solar panels, fans, lighting, and charging stations in under-resourced schools across Nigeria — starting with the most affected regions.
With your help, we can:
✅ Light up classrooms for longer learning hours
✅ Power fans to reduce classroom heat
✅ Enable digital learning tools with steady electricity
✅ Create safer, more inviting school environments
✅ Cut down reliance on polluting generators
Meet Zainab, a 12-year-old in Kaduna. Her school once had no power — no lights, no fans. Today, thanks to a small solar installation, her classroom stays cool and bright.
“Now I can read even when the weather is hot,” she says.
She dreams of becoming an engineer — and now has the power to chase that dream.
Donate a Panel – Help fund one or more solar panels for a school
Sponsor a School – Fully equip a school with solar energy
Volunteer or Partner – Work with our team for installations and outreach
Share the Light – Spread the word about this campaign and inspire others
Let’s bring the sun into the classroom — and light up the future.
